Celebrity Double

My friend Jen did a posting last week about her celebrity doubles. It was crazy when I saw who she listed because I have actually thought at times when watching movies of those celebs that "hey--Jen Ferrara looks just like her!"

So of course I started to think....hm....who is my celebrity double? And nothing came to mind.....until Wednesday when I was on the plane home from Virginia and the woman sitting next to me said "Are you a model?" And I said "a what?" hahahahaha And then she said "you totally look like Bettie Page!" HAHAHAHA

Possibly the funniest part is that this is not the first time I've been told I look like her. 4 Real!

And now most of you are about to head to google in search of Bettie Page....so I'll just save you from encountering some shocking pics and put an edited one of her up here. :)

So hilarious! :) Now I must know in a comment who your double is (and/or post about it on your blog). :)

My New Best Friend!

My sister & her family went to "Mountain Rushmore" last week (read all about it)....and brought me home such an amazing treasure! Zane told me on the phone that they bought me something so I would never have to roam alone again. So, since they were in South Dakota, I was thinking they bought me a buffalo or something. haha Probably a buffalo magnet to add to my collection (of magnets, not buffalos).

Instead, they presented me with my new best friend!!! I am so excited to take him everywhere with me! As you can see, he absolutely loved his first day at work today!

Yes it's true, I HAVE MY VERY OWN GARDEN GNOME! And if you've seen Amelie (one of my top 5 movies), you'll know how exciting this is!

So thanks to Amelie, my garden gnome is French, and I am naming him Alain (because of my weird obsession w/the swimmer who talked smack about our US team, then lost! He didn't get the gold so the least I can do is name my gnome after him. :)

Roses--thank you so much for thinking of me! This is one of the best gifts I've ever been given!!!

Top Ten Tuesday: Reasons I'm so happy summer is almost over!

Since September 1 is one of my favorite days of the year, and since it is getting so close, this top ten is all about why I am excited about that!!!

10. Christmas is just that much closer!!

9. So is the release of TWILIGHT!!! (December 12)

8. Lower A/C bill.

7. School Shopping: even though I don't go to school anymore this is still an important part of this time of year! Any reason to shop is a good one, as far as I'm concerned!

6. Driving w/the windows down....especially in the mornings--I'm sick of having to turn the A/C on so early!

5. Fall TV!!! It seems this fall is no exception....lots of intriguing new shows (I'm still trying to comprehend a new 90210!!!).......and of course amazing ones returning too! Gossip Girl starts Sept. 1!!! What a fab way to celebrate this day!

4. Autumn feels so exciting....not sure why but I think it stems back to going to college in the fall....just starting something new and wonderful.

3. Life.....meaning the TV show. It's my favorite show right now and I can't wait for it to return on Sept. 29. So LIFE it gets its own spot on this top ten!!

2. Wearing jackets, hats & layers. I just love winter clothes so much more and can't wait to start layering them! I'll use another pic of the Gossip Girls since they are currently my #1 resource for fashion!

1. THE HEAT!! I CAN'T STAND THE HEAT! Thank heavens I only have to endure it for a few more weeks!

So you may have read my review of Mamma Mia on Movie Mavens. I completely love this show and have seen it 3 times already. Shiloh mentioned that she wanted to organize a sing-a-long and so I told my sis and she told some people and I've told more people and we are finally doing it!! Saturday, August 23 we're meeting up for a matinee!!!!!! Please feel free to dress up--but regardless brush off your favorite 70s moves and get ready! You can prepare by listening to the movie soundtrack, ABBA Gold and More ABBA Gold, or by renting Muriel's Wedding. :) haha

This is my fave scene in the movie....Dancin' Queen! It's truly spectacular!!

It's going to be such a fun time that you won't want to miss!!! (more info on time and place to follow....)

In other news, my darling Matt (M@) is hitting his year anniversary on his blog and is trying to get to 18,000 hits. Team Retreat

Wow this is three nights in a row that I have blogged...reallly what is wrong w/me? Well today I just had such a fun, wonderful day that I had to throw up a couple pictures (even though I seriously need to work on my photog!!). We wend up to Donna's cabin today, to celebrate Convention (being over and being successful :). We relaxed, had lunch.....and of course STAMPED!!!! We got to do the Convention Make & Takes which were sooooooo cute (even though I only completed 3 so far....click here if you want to see those).
